Picking a new tank line to venture down in World of Tanks can be a bit tricky for new players, as there are so many to choose from. However, tankers looking for a specific playstyle can pick between a wide variety of nations, with each having their own stand-out tank line.
Below are some of the best tank lines in World of Tanks, and while we couldn’t include them all, we’ve included one from each of the different tank types, and have avoided doubling-up on nations. Did your favorite tank line make the list?
German Light Tank Line
The German Light tank line is renowned for its small and nimble vehicles capable of getting into ideal positions early in the game or sitting back and spotting in a passive scout role. Though the German tech tree offers two Light tank lines, only the bottom one is a strictly Light line.
Starting at Tier 3, the Pz.IC is one of the best Light tanks in the game, offering high speeds and excellent mobility. This squat vehicle is able to get into and out of trouble with extreme ease, and can defend itself where necessary with its impressive armaments.
At Tier 5, the VK 16.02 Leopard is an iconic vehicle by anyone’s standards and offers increased armor values when compared to its predecessor. This thickness allows it to work surprisingly well as a ramming vehicle, though not against heavily-armored opponents.
Rounding off the German Light tank line is the recently added Rheinmetall Panzerwagen, a Tier 10 Light tank with fantastic speeds, high alpha damage and penetration, and competitive gun depression. As far as best tank lines go, the German Light tank line is up there as one of the greatest.
