World of Warplanes Kicks Off Operation Uranus Event

Triple XP, discounts, and more!

In honor of the November, 1942 soviet military operation which was codenamed Operation Uranus, Wargaming is activating a series of special bonuses and benefits for all World of Warplanes players.

According to a new post on the World of Warplanes website, the Operation Uranus event includes a X3 XP multiplayer for the first victory a player achieves with each plane in their hanger as well as a free XP conversion scale of 35 XP for every one gold spent. Both the X3 XP bonus and free XP conversions are available between now and November 21st.

There’s also a series of special Operation Uranus missions that are available during the same timeframe as the XP bonus including the following:

  • Diversity of Targets: Earn three automatic fire extinguishers for destroying one enemy plane of each type over any number of battles (can be completed once per day).
  • Engaging Target: Earn a 30% XP bonus by destroying two different types of planes in a single battle (repeatable).
  • Rocketeer: Earn 1,000 bonus XP by destroying an enemy plane with a rocket (repeatable).
  • Accelerated Training: Earn a 100% bonus to Crew XP earned by placing in your team’s top five XP earners (repeatable).

Lastly, starting tomorrow, November 19th and lasting until November 25th, players can take advantage of credit discounts for all non-premium American planes (50% off for tiers II-V, 30% off for tiers VI-VII, and 15% off for tiers VIII-X) as well as the following bundles which are available starting today:
