Upcoming 5v5 World of Tanks Tournament Offers up to 5,000 Gold in Prizes

Lead your team to victory.

Wargaming is prepping a 5v5 tournament for World of Tanks which will offer various amounts of gold to the teams which manage to place in its highest rankings.

The tournament is set to be held between January 16th and January 20th, though teams will only actually compete on three of those days: January 16th, 18th, and 20th. After the first day’s round-robin group stage, teams will be separated into upper and lower playoffs, and each playoff division will have its own standings and prize pools.

Each team must consist of five players (an extra two can be kept in reserve), and tanks of up to a maximum of tier V are allowed. Matches will be held on the Lakeville map, in case you want to practice beforehand.

The prize pools for each playoff division are as follows:

Upper Playoff

  • 1st Place: 5,000 Gold
  • 2nd Place: 4,000 Gold
  • 3rd-4th Place: 2,500 Gold
  • 5th-8th Place: 2,000 Gold
  • 9th-16th Place: 1,000 Gold
  • 17th-32nd Place: 750 Gold

Lower Playoff

  • 1st Place: 1,000 Gold
  • 2nd Place: 750 Gold
  • 3rd-4th Place: 500 Gold
  • 5th-8th Place: 250 Gold
  • 9th-16th Place: 2 Experience Personal Reserves

If you want to register for the tournament, you can do so here. If you have yet to discover the joy of playing World of Tanks with a dedicated team, the World of Tanks subreddit also has some useful information to share with you.
