Developer Tweet Says Mass Effect: Andromeda is Totally Softcore Space Porn

Brown chicken, brown cow in space is about to be a thing.

Following in the footsteps of games like Grand Theft Auto V, The Witcher 3, and to a much more watered down extent, The Sims 4, Mass Effect: Andromeda looks to include some strong sexual themes and nudity.

Recently, Mass Effect: Andromeda moved from a “Partial Nudity” ESRB rating to a “Full Nudity” rating, resulting in quite a buzz from fans on social media. When the subject was discussed on Twitter with BioWare General Manager Aaryn Flynn, he tweeted that Mass Effect: Andromeda was “totally softcore space porn.”

When you read the tweet it’s hard to tell if Flynn is being serious or sarcastic, but when fans asked if he was trolling he doubled down on the statement saying, “Oh I’m not.” You can see the back and forth in the image below.

You’d think that was the end of it, but Flynn has since dialed things back a bit in response to a concerned tweet. Flynn claims he gave the wrong impression, and that the game deals with many mature themes.

It’s safe to assume there will be strong sexual themes and nudity in Mass Effect: Andromeda, but the game itself isn’t likely to be defined by those things. As is common on the internet, a tweet that was likely half-joking was taken a little too literally. The truth, as always, will be somewhere in the middle. The game won’t be a softcore porn in space, but you won’t exactly be lonely up there either.

Mass Effect: Andromeda will release for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on March 21st, 2017.

Thanks, VG247.
