World of Tanks Blitz Gets A Halloween-Themed Combat Event

Stand with Helsing, or submit to Dracula’s will.

Just in time for Halloween, Wargaming has kicked off a special event for World of Tanks Blitz that forces players to pick a side in a centuries-old battle between good and evil.

The above trailer is a bit of a strange fit for a tank combat game. If you only viewed the first 30 seconds, you’d never even know it had anything to do with tanks. However, it does a good job of highlighting the dramatic conflict which serves as the nucleus of the Night Hunt event in World of Tanks Blitz.

While the event is active (October 10th to November 7th), World of Tanks Blitz players can pick from one of two different premium tanks: the T6 Dracula medium tank, or the Helsing H0 tank destroyer.

After selecting a tank, players will then do battle in a special Night Hunt map. Performing well in Night Hunt battles grants two new kinds of currency (Tokens of Light which are earned alongside standard XP and Seals of Darkness which are earned by completing special mission). These forms of currency can then be used to access subsequent stages of a special mission campaign.

Each stage of the campaign grants rewards such as XP and credits when completed, and finishing the final stage of a given campaign permanently unlocks the campaign’s associated premium tank and confers three days worth of premium account time. For the truly dedicated out there, completing both mission campaigns allows players to permanently unlock both tanks.
